As OTA Gaya continues to uphold its legacy of excellence in military training, its latest passing out parade stands as a landmark event, marking the beginning of a new era in the academy’s proud history of producing outstanding officers for the Indian Army.

For the first time, the Officers Training Academy (OTA) Gaya hosted a passing out parade for cadets from the Short Service Commission Technical (Male) and Short Service Commission Technical (Female) courses. This historic moment saw 143 male cadets from SSC-Tech 62 and 18 female cadets from SSC-Tech 33 step into the ranks of the Indian Army, reinforcing the academy’s crucial role in shaping the future of military leadership.

For the cadets, this parade was more than just a ceremonial event—it was the culmination of months of relentless hard work, discipline, and unwavering commitment. As they marched in flawless synchrony, their movements spoke volumes about their dedication and readiness to serve the nation, no matter the circumstances.
Presiding over the grand occasion was Lieutenant General RC Tiwari, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command, accompanied by Lieutenant General Sukriti Singh Dahiya, Commandant of OTA Gaya. Taking the salute, General Tiwari also inspected the parade, commending the cadets for their indomitable spirit, exemplary discipline, and unwavering courage. The event marked the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream for these young officers, who had spent nearly a year undergoing rigorous military training to prepare for this very day.
One of the most poignant moments of the ceremony was the piping ceremony, where proud parents affixed the rank insignia onto their children’s shoulders. This deeply moving tradition symbolizes the official transition from cadet to commissioned officer, a moment of immense pride not only for the cadets but also for their families. The same young men and women who once saluted their instructors now stood tall, ready to lead, inspire, and take on the responsibility of defending the nation.

As OTA Gaya continues its commitment to excellence in military training, this passing out parade marks the beginning of yet another inspiring chapter in its journey. The newly commissioned officers now step forward, carrying the academy’s legacy with them, ready to serve with honor, integrity, and unwavering dedication to the country.
