Besides reviewing the training protocols, Lt Gen Sarna visited the Grievance Cell at Artillery Records, a facility concerned with addressing concerns of veterans. This forms part of the larger strategy of the Indian Army towards better welfare service for former servicemen: their contributions must be duly recognized, and their needs attended to with efficiency after service.

Lt Gen Sarna complimented the high standards of training and state-of-the-art infrastructure at the Artillery Centre and acknowledged the joint effort of all personnel associated with maintaining excellence. He highlighted how such a training centre is relevant to developing a professional and proficient artillery force ready to meet challenges in modern military aspects.

This visit underscores the commitment of the Indian Army to further the cause of its training programs and administrative support systems. While the smooth integration of Agniveers into service is under focus, the Indian Army does not forget strengthening the services related to veterans’ support. In other words, an appropriate balance in personnel management is maintained on the part of the Indian Army to make it continuously effective in service right from active duty through retirement.
