Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Reviews Medical Facilities Across Southern Command in Pune

Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, AVSM, Army Commander, Southern Command, conducted an elaborate review of the premier medical facilities in Pune under his command. The visits involved a series of inspections he made to the Army Institute of Cardio Thoracic Sciences (AICTS), the Command Military Dental Centre, and the Command Hospital, Pune. His reviews were meant to ensure that health services being provided to military personnel and their families continued to be modernized and efficient.

AICTS Inspection

Lt Gen Seth visited some of the newly introduced facilities at AICTS, including the Adult Immunisation Clinic, Cardiology & Respiratory OPD, Surgical ICU, and Virtual Reality Lab. He interacted with the staff and patients at these facilities to understand how advanced services function there. He appreciated the institute for the state-of-the-art medical technology available at every nook and corner of this hospital and assured all support to the ongoing modernization efforts being undertaken by the institute.

Visit to Command Military Dental Centre

Lt Gen Seth also visited the Command Military Dental Centre, one of the prestigious dental units of the Indian Army. He was taken on a round of various dental surgeries, the dental lab, the office complex, and the medical store. Appreciating the high standards of care given by the committed staff, he brought to light the importance of the centre in maintaining dental health within the army.

Assessment of Command Hospital

The visit to the Command Hospital in Pune was the last leg of the review by Lt Gen Seth. He appreciated the professionalism and efficiency of the hospital and insisted on continuing excellence in patient care.
