Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, AVSM, Army Commander of the Southern Command, visited New Space Research & Technologies in Bengaluru. Lt Gen Seth discussed some of the most advanced drone technologies that can alter the ways of envisioning modern warfare and defence systems.
The on-display technologies included High-Altitude Long-Endurance Drones, Logistic Drones, Swarm Drones, Tethered Drones, and Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, some of the most significant cutting-edge advancements. They can be utilized for broad applications, ranging from extended surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities to battlefield logistics and enhanced mission support. Strategic advantages include real-time data collection, intelligence gathering, and operational flexibility, among the features every system provides.

Lt Gen Seth was foremost concerned about how these drones could fit within the Army structure to enhance mission effectiveness and operational versatility. His interest in innovations underscores the Army’s approach toward the adoption of cutting-edge technologies for competitive tactical benefit.
