Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, AVSM, and Army Commander of Southern Command, recently visited Gujarat to review the Golden Katar Division’s operational preparedness. The formation was hailed for outstanding service in recent humanitarian and disaster relief operations across Gujarat. Rescue and relief teams saved more than 1,000 people affected by severe weather and conditions in the state.
Lt Gen Seth commended the troops for consistent dedication and courage during these operations, also emphasizing the Indian Army’s substantial role not only in defense but also in critically providing aid in times of crisis. During this visit, he ascertained the division’s readiness and capability to face future challenges. He urged all ranks to continue displaying the high standards of excellence and perseverance evidenced during the recent relief operations.
This is not just an appreciation for work done by the division, but also a moral booster for the troops as Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth’s commendation reinforces the need to stay ready and responsive to answer the call by supporting the nation-be for defence or humanitarian and disaster relief operations.
